In my coaching calls this week, one of my Elites was telling me how they really suffer with cold feet and hands. I know this is an issue for many and I know myself for last night’s Sculpt and Tone Pilates, I told the Elites I was going fast paced tonight because I wanted to truly warm up. We are having house renovations done and this house is cold!
I digress – so we talked about ways in which she could help improve her blood circulation and I thought this might be useful to you too.
- Regular Exercise: Engage in aerobic activities like walking, jogging, or swimming to promote blood flow and cardiovascular health.
- Balanced Diet: Consume foods rich in antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamins, such as fruits, vegetables, and fish, to support overall circulatory health.
- Stay Hydrated: Drink an adequate amount of water to help maintain blood volume and prevent dehydration, supporting optimal circulation.
- Avoid Prolonged Sitting: Take breaks and stretch regularly, especially if you have a sedentary lifestyle, to prevent blood from pooling in certain areas.
- Manage Stress: Practice stress-reducing activities like deep breathing, meditation, Pilates or yoga to help maintain healthy blood pressure and reduce overall stress on the cardiovascular system.
Do let me know if you struggle with this and if this is useful. Feel free to share with someone who may also benefit from this.
